July 24th

A couple weeks ago, I drove up to the Virginia Lakes Pack Outfit to visit Jazmin, where she stays and works for the summer. I figured since it was unlikely that the whitecave roadtrip would happen, this would take it’s place. I drove up alone since nobody else had money to come with me, and it was probably one of the greatest weekends of my life. It made me realize how much I actually did enjoy traveling - I’ve just always gone places with the family where I had no say in where we went or what we did.

I drove my 2001 Honda Civic up and it made it each way on one tank of gas. Had an unexpected offroad expedition that beat the living crap out of the car and even got a speeding ticket on the way up for going 82 in a 65. The car was a warrior!

Here is sort of a photo blog of the trip. It was the first time using my new 24-60 f/2.8 lens and I forgot to clean the camera sensor so there are some spots on the photos. The pictures are way out of chronological order because I edited them in batches. In fact, I still have many photos left to go through!

Starting off, before I filled up.

Bridgeport Inn, the place we stayed the first night. Had excellent spaghetti there for dinner, and I booked the last room the week before.

And the rest of the time with jazzy…
