So recently, I’ve been reduced to driving around a bone stock 2001 Honda Civic EX, and the stock cloth seats seem to build up a TON of electricity. EVERY time I get out of my car to close the door, I am zapped so hard that the electricity between my hand and the door is VERY visible. It’s now turned into a habit of getting out of the car slowly and carefully closing the door via pushing the window.

So, after that, I get all worried and paranoid about touching metal things…such as opening the door to the office. I stand out there looking for things to de-static myself, but I’m not sure what does. This is now one BIG reason why I need a new car asap (which would have leather seats of course).
