Threw the new kicks on to see how mesh would look on my car. I think it looks okay, but only because the chrome is pitting on the face of the wheel. The plan is to get the face and rivets fully polished and then powdercoated in Candy Gold. The lips are already new and fresh.

I threw these few teasers up on H-T, NWP4LIFE, and S2KI. It’s kind of funny sitting back and watching people guess what the wheel is. The most popular guess so far is the Work VS-XX which is understandable. I’ve also heard, Advan Sienas, Algernon Intelesse II (one of my fav wheels and a good guess), AME, BBS LM, SSR MS1R, Racing Harts (c2?), Sparco (NS-2?), and Volk GTU’s.

Just as a “reward” to people who read my blog; they are Riverside Stich Gulf in 17×8.5 +29 and 17×7.5 +33. Tire sizes I’m running are 245/40 rear and 225/45 front. :)

Just got back from WekFest where we saw:

1. The organizers generating $100k+ in revenue.
2. The line to get in stretching around the building like a game of snake.
3. Socal coming in and snatching more than half of the awards.
4. AS1*’s first show!
5. DC5*Brian getting gypped on the Best Acura award, (no offense to the beautiful TSX that won). I’m just biased. ;)
6. …me getting pwned by a lack of lighting (580EX with no batteries!)

It was a long, but rewarding weekend for me where I met a lot of new people and probably attended the best car show of the year.

Almost every week, you can see a kid with a video camera at the entrance/exit of the Ford building in Irvine. I would assume that his name is Marshall Chang judging by his username on YouTube, but some people are weird and pick random nicknames like that.

Usually, the videos consist of a bunch of exotics and muscle cars leaving to a sound of pure eargasmic volume. The difference this week was that there were two cops camped out on the main street to slow people down and be more cautious. In the few times that I’ve gone; I haven’t seen anyone being reckless, just giving some people what they came to see AND hear. Some people have a problem with it and I can see where they’re coming from, but the main street is REALLY wide and pretty much empty the entire time. PLUS, there’s no law on how quickly you get up to the speed limit right?

You can see my car at 2:22. I took it up to about 6000 rpm, didn’t go higher or full throttle because I was intimidated. :-x

So, yesterday my gf and i decided to head down to laguna/newport. Cruised the 133 and along PCH. Stopped by Crystal Cove and walked along the beach.

I also happened to snap some shots of my car in the area. I was going to wait until after WekFest to show these but since I’m not bringing my car up there anymore… why not?

1.31 was NSX Marque day at Cars & Coffee. Long story short, the regulars were already unhappy about seeing 100 NSX’s taking over the display lot (I’d call them crazy), and on top of that, some NSX enthusiasts also decided to show up and park in the display lot. Basically, all the blame has been laid on S2KI.com because we took up about 20 spots. We were told by the organizers to use our discretion on whether we parked in the display lot or the spectator lot. Personally, I think my own car is a good example of a modified s2000. Our group did have a few stock s2000’s in there, but who am I to judge them?

Anyways, this probably was one of the greatest turnouts at the current location. I didn’t sleep at all before heading down. Played a little fwy tag with a couple of NSX’s on the way. It kept me awake.

Here are a couple of shots that show just how long the line was to get in.

Since my blog is mainly about imports, I intentionally left off some pictures of muscle cars and exotics.

…and a few prime examples of some NSX’s that showed up.

Afterwards, a group of s2000’s and TWC’s former NSX went on a cruise through the laguna canyons and along PCH and had brunch at Pacific Whey in Crystal Cove. We did some other interesting things and then had a photoshoot later on.

Here are some snaps before the shoot.

This NSX has the full Marga Hills carbon fiber widebody kit, 20/19 HRE’s, and 400+ WHP under the hood. It literally has everything. System, seats, cage, monitors, etc.

Steven’s clean suzuka blue s2000. You don’t see too many modified suzukas.

My dirty AP1.

Johnny Tran’s “too soon junior” white AP1.

Spa Yellow AP1 on 3pc. Work Meister S1’s.

Here are some shots from the “shoot”. It was dark and I didn’t really like these pictures.

The 2 most annoying kids that I have ever come across…
