So a couple months ago, I went up to the Hollywood sign with Phil and Nate. We took some private little roads to get basically to the base of the sign. You can’t get any closer than we did. I took some pictures but they came out crappy. Well, the other day, I took Jazmin up there and tried my hand at pics again. I still fucked up, (could have used higher ISO setting), but here they are anyways. I’m going be purchasing a 580EX flash pretty soon.

Keep in mind that these pics were taken at like 3-4 AM when it was literally pitch black outside. Autofocus was out of the question. Manual focus was impossible to get it perfect (couldn’t see anything through the lens).

As some of you know, I recently picked up a 2006 Mazda RX-8. It is in Phantom Blue Mica, and has 31k miles, is fully loaded with satellite navigation, mazda’s advanced keyless entry and ignition, heated leather seats, and the GT package. It has a 5 year, 48k mile bumper to bumper warranty and a 100k mile powertrain warranty. Aside from the horrible fuel consumption (15 mpg) and lack of torque, I really have no complaints.

I already had the fenders rolled, pulled, and flared to the max on all four corners.

The color really is beautiful and I have many plans for it, so stay tuned.

I took Jazmin to Catalina Island on August 31st. That day was a lot of fun even though we missed our ferry twice. I think we got there at like 4-ish, walked around, played mini golf, and ate at a Chinese restaurant and Cold Stone’s.

Past few months have been hectic. It feels like 24 hours in a day just isn’t enough. I’m going to school, trying to meet a million people, do photoshoots, work on my own car, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Lets see, haven’t watched many movies lately, but I have to give a thumbs up and a recommendation for Burn After Reading. Definitely a strange, but very interesting movie. Reminded me of “Fracture”, which we (jaz & I) rented and saw a few days ago.

Nearly done with Aero Designs. Still have the search function and many products left to enter…

Actually purchased a fully loaded 2006 Mazda RX-8 as well.

I think my photography has improved by leaps and bounds. It all comes down to having a cool lens and knowing what you’re doing. The more you shoot, the more settings you remember. No longer have to try millions of settings to see what works. Also bought a cheap tripod. It’s a fragile piece of shit, but works.
